The organization is the largest in the world of its kind, with about 1.25 million members In 33,000 clubs.

Holon Club operates in a variety of social-volunteer activities throughout the city, national and international activities.

Rotary and its goals

Rotary International is a voluntary organization of leading professionals in their field who operating to advance humanitarian service, building goodwill and understanding.

It was founded 100 years ago in Chicago, USA, by attorney Paul Harris.

Paul Harris enlisted freelancers and professionals to help the community and the needy by leveraging the skills and connections their field of practice provides them.

The principle that accompanies Rotary movement is service above self.

The Rotary movement encourages each member to use his skills and connections (the ideal of service) as a basis for promoting value-based entrepreneurship by promoting four issues:

- Development of personal acquaintance circles.

- High levels of morality in society, business and the all professions.

- Implementation of the ideal of service by every Rotary member in his private, business and public life.

- Developing international relations between Rotary clubs and their members, for commercial purposes and mediation of conflicts.
